About Miss San Diego
As an official preliminary to the Miss California and Miss America competitions, the Miss San Diego Scholarship Organization proudly awards scholarships each year to outstanding delegates. Our 501(c)(3) nonprofit, volunteer-driven organization is dedicated to empowering young women in San Diego as they pursue their educational, personal, and professional aspirations. We are committed to shaping confident leaders for the future, while helping the world recognize the greatness they already bring.
Our Titleholders
During their year of service, our titleholders act as ambassadors for the San Diego community, representing both the organization and the causes they care about. This unique experience offers so much more than scholarship opportunities—it fosters personal growth, builds lifelong friendships, and develops valuable skills in leadership, communication, and media. After earning a local title, delegates advance to the state competition, with the chance to move forward to Miss America.
Our Competition
The Miss San Diego Scholarship Competition also includes the Teen division and serves as an official local preliminary to the Miss California and Miss America Scholarship Competitions.
Delegates take part in several areas of competition, including a private interview, on-stage question, health and fitness, performing arts talent, and evening wear.
With a proud history spanning more than 50 years, our organization has supported the San Diego community while awarding hundreds of young women with scholarships to pursue their educational goals.
