Miss San Diego
Stars of the Sea Program

About Stars of the Sea
Miss San Diego’s Stars of the Sea Program is part of the Miss America Little Sisters Mentoring Program, designed to introduce girls ages five through twelve to the Miss San Diego and Miss America organizations before they reach competition age. This program shows young girls that Miss America is not only a dream, but a goal they can begin working toward from an early age. Participants get the chance to connect with Miss San Diego and Teen delegates, who serve as mentors and role models through appearances, volunteer projects, and community service.

The Stars of the Sea Program is a fun, non-competitive experience filled with memories that last a lifetime. Our Stars spend time with delegates at special events such as a welcome pizza party, tea and crafts party, and rehearsals, all while forming lasting friendships.
Each participant receives a tiara, sash, t-shirt, and one ticket to the competition. A highlight of the program is the group dance number performed onstage during the Miss San Diego competition—an unforgettable moment that lets every Star shine.
